How to use the reusable Cotton sanitary pad?
For hygiene reasons, reusable products should be washed before first use.
For ecological and economic reasons, the appropriate and recommended washing temperature should not exceed 60 °C.
- Washing unbleached cotton at a lower temperature can help preserve its natural absorbency. Lower temperature water can also reduce the risk of material shrinkage.
- Choose a delicate machine wash cycle. This mode is gentler on fabrics and helps maintain their quality.
- Choose a mild detergent designed for delicate fabrics. Avoid strong chemicals that can damage cotton fibers and affect its absorbency.
- Do not use fabric softeners as they may reduce the product’s absorbency.
- At the end of the washing cycle, avoid excessive spinning, which can cause fabrics to shrink. If you have such an option, choose the ironing or gentle spinning mode.
- Rather than tumble drying, unbleached cotton is best air-dried. Hanging your clothes in the dryer or laying them out on a flat surface will help keep them absorbent and prevent them from shrinking.
- Avoid using chemical bleaches that can damage the structure of cotton fibers. Chlorine bleaches can also turn unbleached cotton yellow.
